Ms. Murray's Classes
Hello Families, Announcements:
Can you believe it's December?! We hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend with your families. We had a great week back in the classroom. A big thank you to my dad, Dave, who built our amazing new piece of furniture for our dramatic play area! We had so much fun playing with it this week, pretending it was a stand to sell food at. Soon we will start our own pretend ice cream shop! You may have noticed that we have had some substitutes in our class. For about a month, Mrs. Danyew will be working in another classroom for part of each day. We will have someone coming in to fill in that gap. Ask Your Child: One of the questions at morning meeting was: "Do you have a favorite fruit?" What did you say? Nurse Martha came to our class on Thursday to teach us about the importance of brushing our teeth. We learned about where in our mouth to brush, and for how long. It was very exciting! She will be in Monday for the other class. Each child gets a tooth brush to take home with them! Have a wonderful weekend! Ms. Murray

Hello families! Announcements:
We had such a fun time this week in Pre-K. We had two visitors, Nicole and Heather, from the Kellogg Hubbard Library on Wednesday and Thursday. Nicole and Heather read awesome stories and helped students with a fun craft. Each student also got a book to take home and keep! KHL will be joining us again in the spring. If your child was absent on either of those days, we have books for them here at school. We enjoyed games this week called The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel game and Zingo. At another center, they found foam alphabet letters inside buckets full of rice. This activity is a great activity to try at home because I got all the items from Dollar Tree! They have foam alphabet puzzles in the toy section, and bags of rice and large tupperware containers. Have a great and snowy weekend! Ms. Murray Hello Families! Announcements:
We had another rock star week here in Pre-K! We played a fun game called Zingo and started to work on letters with fun cards from Handwriting Without Tears (pictured below). The Tuesday/Thursday class has seen our NEW dramatic play kitchen (fridge, sink, and stove) that got shipped this week. The Monday/Wednesday class will see it on Monday! We flexed our music skills this week banging on some drums at drop off time. They were making music and practicing steady beats! Ask Your Child: Did you listen to the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? this week? Tell me about it. Have a wonderful weekend! Ms. Murray Hello families! Announcements:
Thank you so much for coming into our classroom this week to join us for table time and morning meeting. Everyone had a great time wearing their costumes at school and playing fun halloween-themed activities and games. We thought about how many pumpkins sit on a gate and made the picture using construction paper and popsicle sticks. This was our first time using glue bottles. We also had SO much fun parading through the school in our costumes, they were all so proud to show off their costumes to other teachers and their older friends/siblings. Ask Your Child: Did you have a good time celebrating Halloween at school? What kind of activities did you do that day? Please be sure to send your child in with appropriate clothing for the weather, it's starting to get very chilly and we go outside early. Enjoy your weekend! Ms. Murray |
