Ms. Murray's Classes
Hi Pre-K Families! Announcements:
Another fun week in the books. Preschool in December is wonderful! We have spent a lot of time talking about the snow. Why is there snow in the woods but none on the playground on a sunny day? Can we slide on snow or just ice? These questions and many more have come up and they all have interesting tidbits to add. The play kitchen is back! It's so wonderful to be able to use this again. I have eaten all of the food that your children have prepared for me. Blueberry yogurt on pizza? Sure! I was also "a kid" and they were my grown ups. I got paper bag lunches, took the bus to school, and went to a sleepover. Their imaginations are endless, they are so creative. On Monday during snack time, we went in a circle and shared one thing we liked about each person. They felt so great about themselves after! The compliments were along the lines of: I like them because they are kind to everyone. One thing I like about them is that they are silly. We will try this next week in the TTh class. In the beginning of the week, we spent a lot of time outside at the rock garden. The water flowing made for fun exploration. There was a lot of splashing. Many kids were picking up different sized rocks and standing in different areas (on the bridge, on a big rock, etc) to see how big the splash would be. On Tuesday, we collectively wrote a story during lunch time. They named the story Gigantic City of Unicorns and Giants. A picture of it is below: There are two slideshows below. The first one has photos from the Monday and Tuesday before our break. The second one has photos from this week. I hope you and your children have a great weekend together, Deanna
