Ms. Murray's Classes
Hi Families! I hope you all had a lovely vacation with your kiddos. The WTh was excited to see each other again. They started the morning playing with some slime. I tried 3 different slime recipes and they all came out a little different. It was wonderful to see them use scissors to cut the slime. That is a great activity to practice scissor skills — it’s so goopy! Outside, we found huge snow mounds and they climbed them and slid down them the whole time. They had a blast. They also enjoyed chasing each other while carrying lots of snow. While carrying the snow, I mentioned that they are strong. I heard one friend mention that she is strong like her papa. The smallest things can be so empowering. During center time on both days, we used small lazy susans with paper taped to it. They enjoyed either spinning it or holding the marker. On Thursday, they tried to get letters out of frozen ice. They used many different methods like pouring warm water on the ice, hitting the ice with a spoon, and holding the ice with their hands. I look forward to seeing the MT kids, it’s been a long time! Ask Your Child: Did you play with slime? Did you use scissors? What did the slime feel like? Enjoy your weekend, Deanna
