Happy Summer Families! I can't believe the year is over. I had such an amazing time with your children this year and wanted to thank you all for being such wonderful families. Now before I start crying, here are some announcements:
If you would like to expand on your child's knowledge over the summer, the best advice I could give is to read! Reading at night, reading during long car rides with older siblings, and talking about reading! I have a lovely set of Emergent Reader books that are predictable and easy to read, so students who will be going into Kindergarten next year could gain some reading confidence over the summer. If you would like any of these emergent reader books, I would be happy to make copies for you! Email me, and we can schedule a pick up time :) Counting is always a great and easy way to incorporate more learning into summer play. For example: "How many grapes are we taking for the picnic? Let's count them!" A great kindergarten skill is counting on. For example: "We have 12 toys here and 4 more over there. Let's start counting to see how many we have all together. (start with 12) 12, 13, 14 , 15, 16. Enjoy these photos from their last week of school, boy what fun we had! Have an amazing summer with your children, hope to see you around! Ms. Murray

Hello Families! Announcement:
We are in the home stretch. While Pre-K is winding down, we are still enjoying our time playing and learning together. We had a wonderful time at Sunrise Gymnastics on Monday for our field trip. Thank you SO much to everyone who came to Sunrise to help out. We will be making a thank you card for Stano at Sunrise next week. So many friends enjoyed riding the bus for the first time! We will also be making a thank you card to Jerry, our bus driver, for taking us to and from the field trip. We've been really enjoying our time outdoors this week. Friendships are still forming, and we have been watching the kids be great helpers to their friends, helping them get starting on the swings, or playing a big game all together. On Wednesday and Thursday, we will be having tons of fun outside doing a mini pre-k field day, so please dress your children in clothes that they don't mind getting wet :) Enjoy the two slideshows below, the first one is from the field trip, and the second is from our time at school. Hope to see you at Spring Fair! Ms. Murray Hello Families, Announcements:
Can you believe it is June 1st?! This school year sure has flown by! As we are wrapping up the school, we are still continuing to form friendships, enjoy playing together, and loving the beautiful weather. The students who will be going to Kindergarten next year have really shown how ready they are! They enjoyed visiting with Matt and Caitlin in the last few weeks and are showing that they are ready for bigger responsibilities and tasks. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we enjoyed making pictures with different shapes and then counting how many shapes we had on the pictures. On Thursday, the class spent their entire outside time working together to carry BIG branches over to a rock to create a wonderful fort. They spent their time using problem solving skills ("How will we carry this? It's so heavy! Let's ask friends for help!") and working together to create (and then decorate) a fun hide away. Have a great weekend! Ms. Murray |
