Rumney Preschool
Ms. Murray's Classes
Hi Families! Announcements:
What a wet, muddy, and windy week. Both classes got to enjoy playing in the gym and they were all SO excited — they love the gym! They enjoy kicking and collecting balls and jumping/tumbling on the mats. On Monday, many kids were interested in crowns and cut outs of flowers, so we made flower crowns. Crowns were a big hit on Wednesday as well! Both classes enjoyed cutting and glueing, it is one of their favorite activities. We played with a marble run and both classes and they LOVED it! What a fantastic activity to see them work together to problem solve and build something. They gathered together and celebrated when the marbles went through and were kind to one another if it didn’t quite work yet. They have created an amazing classroom community. Something we practiced in the MT class (and will do in the WTh class next week) is visual discrimination. I had some cards that have flat shapes stacked on top of each other. They had to figure out which one had to go on the bottom, the middle, and the top, based on the picture. If anyone is interested in having these at home, I can print some out for you! Ask Your Child: Did you play with a marble run this week? How does it work? Did you work together to build it? Have a good weekend! Deanna
