Ms. Murray's Classes
Hi Preschool Families! Announcements:
This will be a short but sweet post. On Monday and Tuesday, I read a story called Percy's Museum by Sara O'Leary. It is about a child named Percy who moves from the city to a small town, much like Middlesex. Percy realizes that living in a small town is fun in a different way, so he collects many items outside and puts them in frames. He has new friends over for a museum in his backyard. We then spent a ton of time outside collecting items that we could use to make pictures. We discussed the meaning of flat and thin before collecting items. After lunch, they made their frames and added their collections onto contact paper. They're now hanging up in our classroom! Also on Monday and Tuesday, they practiced their gross motor skills with throwing bean bags at different shaped squares and rectangles taped to the wall. They had a great time trying to hit the shapes! Next time we play this, we will add in letters and numbers to try to aim at. Have a great weekend with your kids! Deanna
