Ms. Murray's Classes
Hi Folks!
Another great week here in Pre-K. The weather was mostly great this week, giving us tons of time to get outside and explore. On Monday and Tuesday, the students washed and cut the potatoes that were harvested from our garden bed in the school garden. Sabrina and April in the kitchen baked them and we got to enjoy them at lunch. They were extremely proud of themselves for preparing their own food. We continued playing in our farm in our dramatic play area. They painted a box green to make it a tractor and had a blast using it around the classroom! The TTh class was very interested in oceans this week, after reading a Magic School Bus book. On Thursday, we created a large map of the shoreline, ocean (including the deep sea), trenches, and islands with volcanoes. Their effort to complete a project so large with a ton of big words was astounding! Ask Your Child: Did you cut potatoes this week? Did you wash them? What did you use to wash them? Did you eat them/were they yummy? Have a lovely weekend! Ms. Murray
